Anti-virus improvement suggestion for developer team
« on: June 25, 2016, 10:46:00 PM »
Product improvement suggestion:
Since Full System Scans may take hours, one generally runs it at night.  To prevent the computer from spinning unnecessary hours, add a check-box to allow the device to shut down (or go into stand-by mode) at the end of the scan and when it comes up gain, automatically display the results file.
"Privazer" among others employs this technique.

Kindly let me know what you think.

When you have a AV with realtime protection, why all this scanning?

"Pondus" believes that this option (selectable automatic shut-down after completion of full system scan) is already on board.

After searching the various options, I still cannot locate it.
Kindly note the path to select this option.

You need to schedule the scan to access that option

EssexBoy,
Certainly appreciated, chap.  I would never have dreamed looking there.
I believe a bit more HMI (human-machine interface) TLC (tender loving care) would go a long way in making these options more transparent and accessible.
   Thanks again.
