Well, you will expect pop-ups on the free version. It's been like that for ages now.

To stop them, go to a paid version.

Well, in my opinion, I don't even think they check to see what components a user has installed.

They flog it to every free user since they know the Firewall isn't there.

Regardless of how often you post this complaint, it's not going to change as long as you use the free version.
Close the popup or wait for it to close on it's own or buy the paid version and uncheck the box to receive the popups. :)

Avast already lost me to this BS they have been doing with the free version.. Avast i won't pay a penny for the paid versions knowing you do ads with the free version.. look at the other company what.. Bitdefender? They have a free version that promises no ads just offers maybe rarely? Avast please think about changing the way you do the ads, that's all I'm asking.

I'm not overly concerned with popup ads (so long as they are clearly ads) in the free version. It doesn't really distract me and it isn't that much hassle to close them. I guess I have a high aggravation threshold.

But I don't believe I get one popup a day. Do you happen to regularly run a cleanup tool such as CCleaner, if that got ride of some avast log files, I wonder if that could reset any logs/counters on ads received ???

Generally I would get the ad shortly after boot, for much of the time I switch on my system and carry on with what I was doing before booting, so some I may not even see as they would have timed out.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.762) UI 1.0.801/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

I want to see if omitting this in the cleanup will
do what you questioned. Hope so. :)
