ITunes or "SpyTunes"
« on: January 18, 2006, 06:46:23 PM »
Apple's Accused of Privacy Violations With ITunes Apple doesn't disclose
that iTunes reports back to a third-party marketing agency with lists of
what songs a user is listening to. That's led bloggers to start calling
the software "SpyTunes."

Thanks CharleyO,
Here's the correction that was printed:
Correction: This story incorrectly described an addition to Apple's iTunes software.
A button to turn off the new MiniStore feature was included inside the software
when the feature was originally released.

If you use ITunes, I suggest you turn this feature off right after you install the program.
