Sunrise XP False Positive
« on: June 30, 2016, 08:18:40 PM »
I got a [popup](http://i.imgur.com/D1nwzso.png) this morning saying the Sunrise XP browser add-on has "a bad reputation among Avast users".  Really?  Which ones?  I've been using that add-on for many years and have had no security problems with it at all.  The only problem I can see with it is that it isn't [signed](https://wiki.mozilla.org/Add-ons/Extension_Signing).

The signing of a add-on and the message from avast have nothing to do with each other.
The signing is something FireFox introduced in version 44(?) of the browser.

The file reputation warning from avast is correct.
It means that the file is new and/or not many avast users are using it, which is true.
The wording from avast could be improved though.
