Prevent Avast attempting to add plugins to Firefox
« on: July 01, 2016, 10:41:09 AM »
Is there a way to prevent Avast attempting to add plugins to Firefox?

I run multiple Firefox profiles - each runs an automated process.  Often these process will fail because Avast tries to add a plugin such as 'SafePrice' - which opens as a new tab and thus takes the focus away from that profiles homepage.

I can manually close the tab, but as the Firefox profiles are meant to run unattended its a huge pain in the butt.

How can I prevent this from happening?

It is real easy, don't install safeprice and/or AOS

Cheers Eddy,
But I haven't opted to install either of these.

The issue is that Avast TRIES to add them as addons to Firefox, which opens a new tab and takes the focus away from the default homepage.

Thanks Pondus  :)

I've modified the install, hopefully this will work.
