WinXP SP2 - RAM Optimizing?
« on: January 23, 2006, 11:40:38 AM »
Since I didn't do my homework I have one question. I'm interasted on how WinXP SP2 RAM memory optimizing is configured? To simplify: I use MaxMem-RAM usage optimizer from Analog X. Is it really necessary? I can presume that need for third party optimizers won't be an issuse with Vista, but I never got the info on XP  :-\?

Hi Zagor,

Yes this is mainly snake oil. Cleanup System Restore Points can save considerably more, because Restore Points can take up 13% max, you can also limit it to those stations with Windows on it and programs, whenever you in big trouble long F8 for the advanced bootoptions.
