Firewall blocking NAS and printers
« on: July 25, 2016, 03:46:57 PM »
I have premier version 12.1.2272 and in the last couple of days the firewall has started  blocking my Western Digital NAS and Epson printer. Firewall log shows devices are being blocked due to "Public/High Risk Zone" rule. I deleted the application rules associated to the devices and set the default rules to "Ask". I deleted printer, closed applications for NAS, restarted everything and still no access or asking what to do by firewall.

Suggestions would be appreciated.

Setup application rules as per the FAQ, set to "All connections", still no go on the Western Digital NAS or Epson printer. I have had Avast installed for 8 months with the same setup and this just started happening in the last couple days. No other changes to system other than updating Avast.

Hello,

Try going to Settings > Active Protection > Firewall > Network Profiles
and make sure that the profile selected is "Private".

If that is the case, please, create support package and post it's ID here, so we can investigate more.
