Can somebody help me!!!!!!!!
« on: July 27, 2016, 09:52:25 AM »
Hi,

I accidentally deleted my backup contacts from my device in my.avast.com, but prior to that i have already downloaded the backup. The problem is, even the backup csv file opened up with numbers like 9.20E+11 which cannot be converted at all to mobile numbers. I would really appreciated if you could help me on this. I have the backup file with me, how do i get back all my original number format contacts.

Regards,
Hamar

You need to use the tool to restore the backup, not downloading the file.

Yes i understand what you said, but as i mentioned i have initially downloaded the backup csv file and then accidentally deleted the online backups. My question now is how do i restore this backup file that i have to my phone or to my.avast.com. I tried to restore to my phone but the numbers like i said has been changed to 9.20E+11, which i couldn't recover. Can you help me restore this file, please??

Thanks in advance
Hamar

Don't know if it will work but, upload the file to the where it was and try to use the tool to restore the backup.

Don't know whether you have seen avast backup page or not, but there is no option to upload backup file, although there is an option to restore, but from other device not upload. As far as i know, the contacts backup file are stored on your server not on Google drive like other files, i guess its possible for you guys to upload directly there. I guess you guys can do that from your end.

It is not "my/our" server as I do not work for avast.
And as the backup service is not from avast, I doubt any of them have access to it.
I would say take your loss and consider the backup gone.

No, the backup service is from avast, they must have some method to import these backup contacts to their server like restoring from online devices which is available. Anyway can you atleast tell me how to revert these numbers 9.20E+11 back to my mobile numbers. Its opened fine in excel, but its just that some numbers are shown in this long format.

No, you are wrong.
The tool is from avast, the rest is not.
avast does not have access to your backup account.

You can't just convert the numbers to mobile numbers as they are not stored in a numerical way.
They are likely stored in a compressed form and perhaps even encrypted.
