I love AVAST but I have been annoyed by my slow start up. After extensive researched. I came to the conclusion that the culprit was Avast. I uninstalled the suite and restarted my iMac and now it restarted with no lag time. I recently threw $70.00 at Avast only to find out that it is system hogger. Avast needs to fix this. It does not make sense we have security and can not use the system it is securing. I have to look for a better antivirus program one that will let me use my system and secure it at the same time. Hard to leave now but I must. I have been a fan of Avast for more than 8 years.
