Avast performance since nitro update

I've just re-installed it around an hour ago.
Running Avast Internet Security latest stable build.

Is it still slow..!?

Yes until the avast tray icon loads. As soon at it has loaded, the performance becomes normal.

The next time the computer starts, I will have a better look at Task Manager and see if I can spot anything.

Did you try a clean reinstall...

1. Download Avast Internet Security: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_internet_security_setup_offline.exe
2. Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions..!!)
3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
4. Reboot.

Yes, done a complete clean install before.

I ran Avastclear before installing too and ensured there was no avast folders anywhere.
