Hi all,

Avast was working great with all Anniversary Edition builds but the latest one 12.2.2276 is the latest stable edition that works. For some reason, after updating, my PC blue screens with a 'System_Service_Exception_Not_Handled' stop error.

 My specs are:
Intel 6700K
Gigabyte Z170X Gaming 7
Trident-Z 32GB
Samsung 950 Pro 256GB NVMe SSD

Did a system restore and not sure if it helps but this error popped up at the end:

Hi,

I am unable to run this program as I had to do a full reset of my PC in order to get back to the desktop. I have done a complete wipe of my system so it is back to Windows 10 Anniversary Edition build 14395.5 with nothing installed, tried to install Avast first and once again, it blue screened saying 'System_Thread_Exception_Not_Handled'. I had to boot to safe mode, run the Avast remove program to delete it in order to boot back to normal Windows. I couldn't even get to the desktop in order to run the program linked above.

As such, I've decided to not install Avast AV until the next version is out as it's creating too hassle for me. If it helps - the blue-screen appears just after USB devices are initialised.
