I have seen this before in the forums, I'm not sure if it was you or someone else who asked this a while ago, but there was a very similar post and the same issue I saw in the image.

Looking at the top of your avastUI image I can see the 'Sign in' text so my guess is because it isn't connected to an avast account that is why it keeps popping up from time to time. I would suggest signing in to your my.avast.com account and see if resolves this issue.

It still happens to me after I run a Smart Scan. About 8 - 12 hours later it suddenly pops up.

If I don't run the Smart Scan, it doesn't pop up later.

Weird.

Yes that's a good question, since this been noted in previous version as well. Firs that than shields disabled and everything off the wall, apparently that's fixed, well wait for the pop up to get fixed as well  :-\
I'm going to stay with 12.1.2272 (build 12.1.3076.0) until all this gets sorted out, I'm tired of reloading images of my windows and that's not good for SSD and HDD as well, let alone waist of time and frustration :(

Just to correct your statement, the shields were never disabled only the messenger that gives you the information was not working properly.
You shields always worked and protected you.

Sorry bob but you mistaking here, all my shields were disabled and avast was non functional. Creating simple script file  to emulate virus and it went thru my PC with the doors wide open.
Yes under subscription it showed ACTIVE but everything else was  greyed out. As far is service, it was running in control panel/services but program itself had 0 protection.

You might be talking about some users not having the information in GUI, my scenario was different I simply had license revoked and everything disabled I don't know if that is the same thing they have fixed it or not I might try later today if I'm up for it, just little tired  with other things that are piling up in my personal life  :)

No, you are wrong. The User Interface (UI) was receiving an incorrect message, not communicating, with the shields.

OK!! so for the sake of argument, if all shields were working why after creating virus file or even sanding actual virus sample  to my email and I'm not talking "AICAR" its primitive way of testing but actually file that bricks your PC once is entered I have sent it 1 to my email into virtual machine and avast not only didn't see it, but allowed to be executed, but any other time avast won't even allow enter any of my machines, pleas explain that.

Well the change indeed was only inside avastui.exe, you can check that by comparing the checksums before and after the update.

Avastui.exe process runs inside the active logged on user session, and as such it is not even started before the first user logs into Windows - what I say is that it is important for messages but not for the actual security and virus detections.
