Subscription problem between child and root AEAs.
« on: August 04, 2016, 04:48:00 PM »
One of our customers is having locations in two different cities. These locations are connected each other with VPN. We intended to implement a root eas in one city and a child eas in another city. But there is only one sql server at root location. So we installed AEA to root location without any trouble. Then we installed child AEA to child location by sharing the same database. The child AEA could be able to access to the same database tables of root AEA.

The problem is, while we are trying to subscribe child AEA to root AEA. Console returns error "Unable to subscribe to given "Server" root server.

Can AEA servers share a common database "avastent"?

If it is possible, what can be the reason of this error. Firewalls on Windows Servers has already been turned off and we saved the communication ports to hardware router firewall.
While we try to telnet connection from child location to root locations AEA server over port 16135 by Putty, connection attempt was refused. But the reason might be that we did that without login credentials.

If the reason of the problem is caused by database not a communication issue, can we create 2 different databases on the same SQL server. For example: avastent and avastent2?

Thanks for the help.
