How to Remove Avast if I can't load Windows Vista
« on: August 10, 2016, 10:07:01 PM »
Hi, I have not been able to load Windows Vista (32) on my Dell Dimension E521 for quite awhile and have been trying to figure out why.  When I try to boot into safe mode, it stalls on \windows\system32\drivers\aswRvrt.sys

How can I remove the avast program it seems to be stuck on if I can't get Windows to load?  I do have a Linux Live Lucid Pyppy 5.2.8 CD if that will help because I am able to run the computer from that (although I have only used it once so have very little experience with it).

Thank you to anyone who can help.
