Enabling VT-x
« on: October 14, 2016, 11:53:12 AM »
Is there a way to enable VT-x? I can't find the option in avast. If I enable it will it be safe?

VT-x is not from avast but from Intel.
You need to enable it in the bios.

As stated there, it will not work on all systems.

Make sure you don't have Intel Virtualization Technology and Hyper-V enabled as they do not work (well) together.
For other possible causes/solutions, I suggest you to Google.
- VT-x not working
- Toubleshooting VT-x
etc.

Sure.
Thanks for helping me. Because in previous avast version when enabling hardware-assisted virtualization some malware will be able to escape :)
