It's showing the 2279 update available again when I have 2280.

Anyone else showing this?

How to fix please?

It should already have been fixed, possibly by a VPS update or the emergency update function, but you need to have A) not blocked that function B) rebooted your system for it to run the emergency update.

Obviously no problem here.
Maybe doing a repair might be advisable ???

Repair Avast:
Control Panel> Program and Features (Add/remove program)>Select Avast> Select Repair. Reboot when completed

Well a simple computer restart seemed to fix it. For now anyway.

This really makes no sense when it seemed to be fixed previously but then popped up again.

Is this going to happen constantly? Because I hope not.

Do you leave your computer on or, do you restart it on a regular basis ???

I shut it down when I'm done using it. I restart once a week.

I have been having difficulty downloading Avast Free Offline installer on page one of this post.  I have tried 4 times.  Each time it downloads the 220 mb installer, but at the very end, I get a message that "could not download the file because an unknown error occurred."

Is there something wrong with the file at your end, or is it my download manager?

No problem downloading here but I don't use a download manager.

Previously, when I was having the problem, I was using SeaMonkey to do the download.

I used Free Download Manager, and I was able to download avast OK.

Thanks for the help.

Upgraded from 11 version to the 12.3.2280 and - voila! - the new version blocks Internet access for a hour. What do I need to remedy this?

It might take a while... We don't even have a beta yet.

Sorry to butt in, this is my 1st post.  I've noticed my Firefox browser has been using, as the search tool, something called, "Google(Avast)".   Does someone know what this means, or why I had to go back to a "Google" only option.  Is Avast trying to log all my search info..?  Sure seems like it, thank you...
