Need Help on Scanning HTTP using Avast
« on: January 31, 2006, 08:42:01 AM »

Hi all,,

I have installed rpms of avast antivirus on Fedora Core 3 Linux. The same machine is running with SQUID Proxy server for my LAN.

Is it possible to scan online viruses, for the HTTP requests comming from my LAN so that any viruses found on an HTTP request the particular site is blocked.

Pls suggest me how do i get this done.

Thanks in advance

cheers

I first caught on to Avast on the WinXP Platform. I love being able to use Avast! as a proxy server to filter internet traffic for malware...how do I do this under linux?

I'm running Ubuntu Edgy on a Dell Inspiron E1505.
