Losing license detection/activation - All Shields disabled
« on: August 23, 2016, 01:14:03 PM »
Something is happening with the beta.
Lost license details, all shields disabled, return to "test period" state.

Hi Lisandro,

not sure what you mean, there's no beta, atm.
Or is that an internal beta just for the team..!?

No, I don't have an insider preview version.
I'm just an Avast user like any other else  8)

Not sure if this is "another" UI issue only.

I think that the confusion is because the UI shows Premier BETA at the top. All that the BETA means that you have used the beta before, so you are on the beta stream.

As and when a new Beta is released, you will be notified that a program update (Beta) is available or words to that effect.

My only concerns are:
1.  that the Premier BETA branding can confuse users as to what version they have.
2.  recently, the program updates were set to automatic update, so the first you might know is if the program updates.

I have never thought it a good idea to have auto program updates, VPS updates, fine, but not program updates. So my settings are set to ASK when a program update is available.

Thanks. I have not noticed this movement.
And yes, I'm on automatic and beta stream.
