with avast home running ie does not work

subject pretty much says it all..


all of a sudden ie will not load anything but a blank page with avast running.  with avast disabled ie works just fine.

any help will be appreciated.

nothing has been added or removed from the pc.   this just started yesterday.

If you disable Web Shield rather than avast completely I assume that will work ?
Do you have another browser, does this happen with it also ?
What is your firewall ?
Does it allow ashWebSv.exe (avast Web Shield) internet access ?

Are your settings with IE enabled to: " Work Online"  . ? Have a look .

Ok you are correct.  If I disable Web Shield I can connect with her pc.  Am going down to the pc now to see if Norton Internet Security has blocked ashwevsv.exe for some reason unknown to me.   brb  wish me luck!

WELL WHATTAYA KNOW BOUT THAT!!!!  Nis had put a block on ashwebsv.exe. and one other avast item....
