What in the world does Avast want to do to my system when all I've done is:

1.  Brought up Avast went to Preferences /General/

    2.  Clicked on the only button that's on "Turn on automatic updates" to turn them off.

3.  I'm on a Mac (hopefully irrelevant) and I get an Avast popup with their logo (the "a") over
a closed lock that says, "Avast wants to make changes".  What does the program do if it gets control of my system?

Can't find the topic in Macs and saw something from 2016 but one user was fine with Avast
"hands" manipulating their computer.

Thanks!
