my best guess is that the delay is related to the takeover of AVG.

Also in the AVG Forum I have been told that when AVG releases it's 2017 products, there may be a change in the program name or the change in the program name may happen early next year, but they didn't receive any information. I will check back at a later stage when they release AVG 2017 and I install it in my desktop computer.

I think the name change for AVG will involve adding "avast" branding to it in a smaller font, just so they connect both together.

I am sorry, but I don't think that solving issues/bugs in Avast has anything to do with the acquisition of AVG :-\

Didn't they say something about a beta for beginning of october and then nothing happened? I'm quite sure I've seen a post from avast! team member somewhere...

I'd prefer a stable but slow beta than unstable but hurried one.
