i cant make a new password?

ok  so, i cant remmeber my password for my account. im trying to add my new device so i press " i cant access my account" and i get an email and i cahnge the password and it logs me in. But it wont allow my new password to be recongised for some reason.

i cant change it when i get logged on my account per automatic from makeing the new password. when i try to change it with the password i just created i get an error saying my password is is wrong and i cant login with the password on the website nor the avast client.

So the only way i can login to my account is by changeing the password by email and that paSSWORD WONT EVEN WORK.  what is this

There isn't much detail in exactly what it is that you are doing - Where are you trying to login ?
If it is from the avastUI, then try logging in to my.avast.com via your browser.

That said clicking the link in the email for forgotten password, that should use your browser to connect to your my.avast.com account. This link is only valid for one use, it may be why you can't logon using that afterwards.

When you connect using that email link you should be able to add a new password. Once added you should now be able to set that as the default I believe.

i have done what this guy did like 20 times, it just wont recongise my new password. i cant use the client and when i logout on the webpage and try to login with my "new password" it dosent work

We are currently having some delay when changing the password for the account  :( The new password you set may take up to 48 hours to be active/usable.
It should be fixed by Monday (19/Sept).
