Windows 10 Anniversary Update and Avast 12.3
« on: September 19, 2016, 09:52:53 PM »
Hi All

Some reason my Avast service seems to be using 21.5mbs of ram constantly, not too big of  deal, but when I got Firestorm using quite a bit of ram also, makes it sluggish at times, is there any way for Avast service ram usage to go down?   Don't wanna have to rely on Windows Defender unless I really really really have to.  System was clean installed August 16th, system fairly clean still I do believe, no infections or too many uninstalls and reinstalls of anything

Make sure you have the latest version of avast installed.
If you haven't update or do a clean installation of it.

If you have:
See if a repair of avast solves it.
If not, perform a clean installation of the latest avast.

Ok will try the clean installation of it, tried repair yesterday, didn't solve the Avast service issue then, but will give clean install a shot, hopefully solves that part of the issue

Version installing 12.3.2280

Yes knows to use avast clear little program in safe mode, then hopefully it works well after this, and all the issues finally solved lol...Running Great now, Memory usage of entire system 54 percent with all my usual programs open,  CPU usage nice low 12 percent with all my usual programs open,  MS Edge, Windows 10 Skype Preview, Avast running, Firestorm 64bit Secondlife viewer, VirtualDj,  so no high cpu or high ram usage right now at all!!  Perfect, don't anticipate suddenly having high usage even if I was to open more programs lol, do multitask a lot though, so 8 core comes in handy at times lol
