Helper Tool

Hi,
Avast has identified two infections on my computer and I have them isolated in the virus chest. When trying to delete them I get a prompt stating that Avast needs to install a helper tool and I'm asked to enter my Mac password. I just want to confirm that this is normal for Avast to be requesting this.
Thanks,
Chris

This is normal for Avast, when i tried to enable and disable shields in a OSX VM it requested a password too for a helper tool being installed.

Yes, this is the standard permissions elevation dialogue in Avast. I admit, that the text is a little bit confusing, but there is not much we can do about it as the text is defined by the OS.
