It's what I'd do if I wasn't a decade plus long loyal avast! user... Large majority of users can't be bothered reporting and fixing it.

Agreed, there were some issues after certain W10 updates, that have been fixed shortly afterwards.
Anyway, let's see what the devs find out after the OP submitted it to Avast.

There is an issue with Avast and many other AV's and the current Windows 10 preview build.
