Hello, this topic was posted long ago, but I was asked to start a new one before replying. My scenario is this: I wiped my HD clean due to virus issues and reinstalled Win10. I'd like to reactivate the yearly subscription I purchased. I tried following the installation instructions that I received via email when I initially purchased the product (several years ago, I have since renewed each year), but get the error message "unable to insert license file. The license file does not contain any valid license". I followed the instructions on the previous post with this topic and made sure Secure line was checked in my program files. I also tried activating after installing the free version but this asks for an activation code which I cannot find in any of my avast emails. What is the next step?
