HTTPS on Firefox
« on: October 05, 2016, 07:00:51 PM »
Avast seems to be blocking HTTPS sites on Firefox again. This happened in the past and was fixed but seems to be back again. Can't access anything including Google, Youtube and even signing in on Avast forum without disabling HTTPS scanning. This tweet shows the same issue I'm having. https://twitter.com/firefox/status/783209270368231424

Avast also seem to be deleting cookies on Firefox if  I had HTTPS scanning enabled. Everything's working fine on Chrome, but it takes up a lot of resources that's why I use Firefox.

Hi ljcool_08 :)

As far as I know there is no issue with Avast's HTTPS scanning at the moment.
You could try a clean install of Avast, so that it reinstalls its certificates into Firefox again.

@Eddy

Because the problem goes away whenever I turn off HTTPS scanning and returns when I turn it back on.

@Rednose

The problem seem to be gone now. Maybe they patched it with an update.
