I am on a Windows 7 laptop and purchased the Avast Cleanup in hopes to free up some space and to help the windows run better/faster/more efficient....
But every time I try to run the clean up my laptop goes to the blue screen of death.
Can anyone help? Is this a common issue with Avast Cleanup and Windows 7? Or something worse?

Can you still boot in safe mode ?
What is the error on the BSOD ?

Hi,
sounds similar to https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=187364.0 . Can you check if there is the same BSOD error SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION in aswSP.sys? This should be already fixed in up to date Avast.
