avastManagementServer - Service wont start after update
« on: February 07, 2006, 09:16:34 AM »
We updated the ADNM-Console this morning from V 4.6.350 to 4.6.419.
Now the avastManagmentServer Service wont start.
When we try to start the Service manually we get the following error Number 2147418125

Now after we studied the error.log we have new information.
Since we updated we get the following entry into the error.log every time we try to login:

07.02.2006   08:41:32   1139298092   admin   1608   License for the product AV_NETC is expired. Program cannot continue.

It seems that the update 'killed' the license somhow.
We owe a 50 User NetLicense valid till 24.10.2007.

Is the license file correctly entered? (please use the AMS Maintenance Tool to verify).

Thanks

Sorry - the license was not installed on the ManagementServer.
The old version (4.6.350) never asked for. ManagementServer was installed in August 2005 and the DEMO Version expired in October. There was never a problem to restart the server.
So we had no idea to give the Server the license.

Thanks for your help

Yes, that was one of the ommissions of the old version that we never discussed publicly... ;D

Thanks
