Wheres Avast?

Hi Folks,
I want to do a scan in safe mode as I have some strange things happening on computer ( freezing and stuff ) I reboot in safe mode and go to all programs and avast is not on the list yet spybot is. How do I do Avast scan in safe mode ?. I did seach this topis and couldnt find an answer.

If you are using xp go for a boot scan. If 98 access via windows explorer.

I believe that by default avast doesn't start in safe mode, this is to allow a way into the system if there happens to be any conflict (e.g. you have another AV and you installed avast also and the system locked for instance).

There should be an avast! antivirus shortcut icon on the desktop which you can run avast from safe mode, or run this file, "C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashAvast.exe"
