Does anybody know anything about Avast doing this?

How do you expect a application to know if you click/type something when it doesn't monitor the mouse ?

Even a simple application like notepad is doing it when you have it running.

And you really need to choose what you want to use.
One of them has to go (ZoneAlarm or avast)

Pay attention to "it may". The warning is a generic notification, it doesn't mean the app in question is actually doing that.

Used zonealarm a few years ago,never again.....

used windows firewall with no issues.
