Trojan Downloader. Time2Pay.A

Hi,

Last night when I was scanning with Microsoft Antispyware Avast prompted with a message that my computer was infected by a trojan.downloader. Avast advised me to put the virus in the viruschest and so I did. Ironically I scanned my computer with Avast the day before and it came up clean.

But anyway, I scanned my computer online with Bitdefender. Bitdefender mentioned that there is a virus named Trojan.Downloader.Time2Pay.A in my:

C:\System Volume Information\_restore{43998A11-46B5-49E5-A241-3E03FA1E4E98}\RP91\A0207814.MSI=>(Embedded CAB)=>loadadv458.exe

Bitdefender can remove the infected files, but not DISINFECT my computer. So, the virus is still on my system. Could you look at my hijackthislog please and advice me what to do next? There's still some programmes on my computer that  need removing,  so please overlook those.

My computer runs on Windows Xp, I use Avast Home Edition 4.6, current VBS-file is 0606-1. How do I get rid of Trojan.Downloader.Time2Pay.A? I'm not that good with computers, but any help is welcome.. Thanks in advance.

To remove the virus in system restore files you need to temporarily switch restore off reboot then re-activate it. This will dump the infected restore files and leave you with a clean slate.

PS ; I see bits of Nod 32 as well as Avast in you HJT scan. You need to remove one or the other as this will eventually conflict if it doesnt already.

Ok, so I did what Cloussau advised me to do (btw thanks) and I'm currently scanning my system online (again) with Bitdefender. As for NOD32 I deleted Hitman Pro a couple of weeks ago, so there might be some registry entries of NOD32 left on my computer.

But I have another question (while my computer is being scanned).. If you look at my hijackthislog, is het normal that I have so many svchost.exe processes running on my computer?? How many should there be, because I think my log looks ' weird'.

But I don't know much about computers, so I don't know if these processes are harmful or not? Here's my log again, I would appreciated if you could answer my question. Thanks.
