Likely something you tried to install.
But there is no need to disable avast to install any application.

There likely is no log.
You could check the Windows log files, but I doubt you will find anything about it in them.

Other than those logs, you could check the router/modem log file(s) if they are created.
But for these logs also I doubt you will find anything about it in them.

Your best bet is the log from a traffic monitor if you have one installed.

is there a log somewhere that tells me which program asked this ?? i jus sitting watching netflix and it asks me out of nowhere...

Whilst avast keeps a log for its actions, I suspect (as Eddy does) that it doesn't record the actions of other applications interactive dialogues.

First I would look at the app you were using, netflix, if it does auto program updates, or other applications that were running in the background.

That really looks like malware.
For legitimate applications there is no need at all to disable a av in order to install.

no you misunderstand

the program tried to disable avast.
a window from AVAST because of a program asking avast to do something.
<snip image>

We thought (as there wasn't more information) that a program requested that you disable avast. Not that a program was trying to disable avast.

I too think it looks like a malware attempt to disable avast.
