Isn't Avast supposed to stop unwanted popups?
avast does not have a popup blocker

I meant that avast stops a virus from popping up by detecting & deleting or preventing it lol, sorry that was a bit of a stretch I suppose. [I meant that Avast is supposed to stop things from annoying you -- viruses et al -- but it then annoys you itself.]

Yeah, the VPN thing is programmed to show up when you watch porn.

I ONLY get it on porn.

I incognito a lot of things, and it only consistently, in a measurable way, pops up during porn. [I don't do my banking on this computer]

So, can the VPN popup and all the others be turned off?

I don't use the avast SecureLine VPN function , if you are saying it is only related to that when viewing p o r n sites.

You could try disabling or uninstalling the VPN component.
AvastUI > Settings > Components > Privacy > SecureLine VPN.

There is obviously a downside as you don't get that security on non p o r n sites.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.762) UI 1.0.801/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

I don't use the SecureLine VPN either, but I went ahead with your suggestion and disabled the component. Unless there is an oversight with their code, I doubt this will work though as I was getting popups to buy the SecureLine VPN, and uninstalling it is a further step from be buying it than they want. Unless that was desired as a means for people to disable the messages completely. Thank you for that suggestion though! I looked through the options before, but I definitely missed that one.

You're welcome.

Personally I tend not to disable a component (unless it is a temporary thing), but uninstall it.

Something to consider is when installing is to do a custom install and only select the components you require/want.
