Just another question. Going back a few versions. Is the girl still speaking when for example there was an update made? Thanks.

I know this is just a matter of design, but ... since Avast and AVG are integrated now, I think it would be the opportunity for the new Avast interface to take advantage of the benefits of the AVG GUI. The GUI of the new Avast beta version looks so poor, unpolished, unprofessional ... Why not take the opportunity to integrate the Avast and AVG GUI's?

God, just not that. You'd take the worst example. AVG has the worst interface out there. Main panel not even so much, the submenus are horrendous. Huge elements on tiny surfaces with everything cluttered with awful visibility.

My point is this: I hope that for the new version of Avast, the new GUI will not stay like the one in this beta, but it will improve a lot and look with professional quality. I was shocked with the low level of the Beta skin, but I suppose it is a draft and not the final version. I have great expectations for the new version, and I imagine that Avast will surprise us as always with a product of excellent quality.

Excellent quality of an AV product lies in it's ability to keep us safe.
I personally couldn't care less what it looks like as long as it does it's job.
Being pretty to look at means nothing if it doesn't protect you. :)
I also think the new color scheme isn't bad. :)

Thank you, Bob, for sharing your ideas with me. I appreciate that.

As I said, I stick with Avast, and I'm sure the new version will be great. In protection and design.

Best regards!

Windows 10 Pro 64bit, build 1607 14393.447 is the one i'm running, Stable, Release Channel build

BSOD's happened twice, I tried it twice, second time corrupted my entire user account, so then did a system reset, and installed stable build after that.

did post about it in the forum here I believe afterwards though

Thanks, I'm running build 14936 without problems so it shouldn't be the Windows build if you're running the latest stable version of Avast.

Might Continue testing Avast 12.4 on the Windows 7 Home SP1  PC, and when it's final update from 12.3, or clean install to 12.4 on the Windows 10 Systems, not sure why it bsod'd, hasn't since at all...secondary external drive don't really trust for image restore procedure lately, as it's old, despite shows good with Crystal diskinfo, I should I could do a new image with macirum and test 12.4 more on this system, if happened again, submit more info possibly.

You gotta be joking! This is the gui of the new avast beta?  :o It looks like the 2016. I was expecting a better gui in 2017, though i don't install beta programs. I have AVG 2016 installed in my desktop computer.

IMO keep the current overall design, change only the color theme as the AVG's one (really like the dark theme and bright green) and make the menu adjustments that Rejzor proposed in a different thread.  8)
