Would be nice if the beta builds were a bit more frequent. It's almost 1 month and a half now and still no new beta build. Which is really weird...

Seems maybe the focus is on the AVG side, based on how much of Avast has been ported into that beta.

I'd be happy with a bug fix. The shutdown bug isn't nice and needs to be addressed.

I Had to backout of the testing on my Windows 10 Pro 1607 64bit PC, as some reason 2 memory management bsods occurred and messed up user profile, resulting in clean system install since system image drive didn't wanna start up from enclosure lol, and no real room inside for another drive.

Running fine with Stable 12.3 version though

I'd be happy with a bug fix that fixed the bsod issue, shutdown issue, and i'd gladly test 12.4 version again

I never had problems with any BSODs, but im in the same boat.
I want to beta test it, but the shutdown issue is too big for me for keep testing it. Was to frustrating.

Hopefully an updated beta will arrive soon if the developers see these posts.

Hi,

next beta of Avast will be published in Jan and final release soon after that. This delay is caused by the fact that similar teams work also on the new AVG release. Please bear with us during these few weeks, we plan to restore the monthly releases in Q1 for both brands AVAST and AVG.
Thanks
Martin

So, not a single avast! BETA till January? That's an awkward decision...

I would call that very, very awkward, Avast paid how much for a controlling interest in AVG and here is AVG getting the lions share of the benefits before Avast. I call that very strange.

If I were Avast, I wouldn't plan the release of both new Avast and AVG at the end of Januari.
The Holidays are comming so time is very short now, also for Beta testing.
I would postpone both releases to the end of Februari.

I think postponeing at least the Final Version for both programs to February might be a wise decision, as you also gonna have to prepare both programs for Windows 10 Creators Update supposedly coming out in March,  If Next Beta is released for Avast released in January, then Final released at End of January for both programs,  Then February it's rush madhouse beta testing to make sure ready for Creators update which is due sometime in March.

Right Now the Preview of Creators builds don't even work with Avast last I heard,  so seems like a lot to do between now and March

It's early, not to mention Avast gets any revenue from both companies.  It all rolls up to Avast ownership in the end.
