How new skin should look like
« on: November 04, 2016, 08:55:18 AM »
This is how interface should be arranged. Haven't updated the actual icons, but have made a mockup of how interface should look like.

Also, once you have things separated on the side, move settings that matter into individual panels instead of having all of them digged in the main settings. The main settings are confusing because all the stuff is crammed in there where you could easily separate realtime shield settings under "Protection" section and on-demand under "Scan" section, leaving only general settings under the settings. All other AV's are doing this, only avast! seems to desperately insist on cramming all settings under settings.

Interesting approach, let's see what happens.

Expanding sliding pages to entire size of the main interface would make more sense. Would look better and give you more space to arrange the tools/scans on the expanding panel.

I like your mockup, looking awesome!
Right now UI looking empty on the left side, and I like your idea about separating settings, I don't like a separate settings window in Avast.

+ 1.

This UI is much simpler, understandable and it's easy to find what you are looking for.

This looks better than current design.

The wording is goofy too.

GUI> It allows to scan your PC for all kind of security, privacy and performance issues.

Should read> It allows you to scan for all kinds of security, privacy and performance issues.

Or> It allows you to scan for all types of security, privacy and performance issues.

If Avast want's to keep that wording but correct the grammar, it should read:
Complete test of your computer. It allows scanning your PC for all kinds of security, privacy and performance issues.

A month late but that's what I've been harping on for years and years. And nobody listens.
