Smart Scan (2281)-Bug Report
« on: November 07, 2016, 05:32:38 PM »
After running a "smart scan" the results showed "colliding antivirus" and no other information. ???
Clicked the button to "resolve the colliding antivirus"...nothing happened at all.  ???
What caused the "colliding antivirus"?  ???
No information. No resolution. Big problem.  ???

"colliding av" means there is another security software present that can cause conflicts with avast.
Ofcourse it can be that remnants of a previous installed av are detected also.

Clicking resolve should start the removal of the other av (or the found leftovers of it).

As far as I know, avast will (or at least that is the intention) start the uninstaller from the other av as would happen if you remove it through control panel.
Which is in my opinion a start, but not good enough as there can be leftovers that avast will still detect.

Not that most users will understand it if extra information is given, but at least have the option to show more information on what is found would be nice.
