Right now, for what ever reason, executable downloads fail with avast shields running.
Shutting them down seems to fix this issue even if this is something to do as last resort.
Question stands, why do same executable downloads work fine when using Deluge or uTorrent, while downloading them via Firefox or Chrome causes them to fail? I'm pretty sure the former group of downloads are more susceptible to infections than the latter.
The first video is an example when avast shields are running.

The second one is showing turning off the shields and trying the same download.

If this sort of behavior continues, I assume that it's actually much better to surf the internet without the placebo AV because it's not protecting from actual threats, but rather preventing you from using internet.
