There's a big difference between posting a link to a news article and posting a link to a covert hacking/software site.  If I didn't bring this article to anyones attention then how could you bring your gripes to The Register?  Do you not think that someone at Apple is not aware of this article?  It's been two months now.  How many do you suppose did this to run osx on a pc in the two months before I posted this link?

I guess Apple doesn't know people are using osx on pc's. ::)

You haven't addressed what I said about maybe the reason osx runs faster on pc's than Macs because the stuff that Apple uses to try to keep osx from running on pc's.  ???

Hmm if I recall correctly:
http://www.pcworld.com/article/136649-3/in_pictures_the_most_notable_notebooks_of_2007.html

Then Vista should be run on Macs & osx should be run on pc's.  ;D ;D ;D

I thought that Apple's motto is: THINK DIFFERENT !

Well, I strongly believe this is the right time to think different.

And Kyle... why are you worried so much dude ? Such a good technician as yourself will never ever stay without a job. Selling OSX to PC users doesn't mean Apple is going down, it just means, Apple's market will even grow. Many Apple users will never ever switch to PC no matter what happens, but this would help a lot of people to check some other possibilities out there. I am sure this would just help Apple make even more money.

I believe that all this OSX to PC story is already so deep that's practically impossible to stop it at this point. It even runs faster on PCs than on Apple architecture. Take a look at this:

And who said just Intel is capable of running OSX ? Well, he is wrong:

Just out of curiosity i went ahead and installed the latest pirated copy of OSX on my machine. Works quite well on my Core 2 Duo actually, except i realized i don't really need it as there's nothing in there that i cannot already do with my Vista or Ubuntu. Off of my machine for good and even if Apple would start selling the OS for pc's i wouldn't buy it for sure. I prefer linux for general usage and Vista for gaming and running those few professional programs that i use(Adobe) thank you. Though i wonder with the financial crisis these days and mac sales going down if Apple will change their minds on only providing OSX on Apple hardware ? And if they do start selling it who is gonna buy it ? It's not like it's a perfect OS where nothing ever goes wrong and everything just magically works ...

Seeing as how every quarter for about a year now has had record breaking mac sales, you wont see them change their mind on locking the OS to the Hardware.

In Fact just the opposite is happening now, they are spending money to make sure it stays only on Apple Hardware (Lawsuits on companies like Psystar)

Tabbed Browsing
One of the nicest things about tabbed browsing is the ability to open

(click picture to start playing music)

in one tab and then do the rest of your browsing in other tabbs.
This lets you listen to your favorite music and help some one on the forum all at the same time. :)

Ever since I stopped listening to country music
  • My dog lived
  • My wife came back willingly
  • The pickup started working
  • The urge to spit on the street has stopped
  • My job does not s*ck any more because I got a raise
  • People don't point at me yellin' "Hick"

Prevent accidental or forced shutdown with Shutdown Guard
http://www.technospot.net/blogs/prevent-accidental-forced-shutdown/
It could be useful, also, to block update applications from shutting down though they are configurable not to prompt for next 4 hrs in Vista.
