Anybody tried Avant Browser? http://www.avantbrowser.com/

I found it a few years back and loved the mouse gestures, the blocking of flash, pics, tabs (which IE didn't have yet) and MANY other features.

The only problem (or not, maybe) is that it runs off of the current version of IE on your system.

It's pretty slick, but you have to configure it to your liking.  It used to come perfectly configured, but as releases came out, they changed things, and you had to re-configure it to act like it did when it first came out.

It's pretty much useless now I suppose, with IE8 and firefox being so great.  But, it's another browser to test out if you're looking for a change.  I guess I just wish that they had customizable skins and plugins.

That would make it IE on steroids.  Well, more like firefox, but you get the idea...

I think Bob tried it out for some time...
I've gave up on IE engine browsers. I've used Maxthon for some time. Then, Firefox replaced it with many advantages, from security to GUI.

All IE Engine Browsers are simply Internet Explorer with some eye and possible security candy.
If you don't have IE updated, the IE Engine browser will also be out of date and therefore insecure.

FCC Asked to Investigate Skype for IPhone Restriction

The letter cites the FCC's Internet Policy Statement (PDF link) which states that "consumers are entitled to run applications and use services of their choice" in order to "preserve and promote the open and interconnected nature of the public Internet."

What if the application/service you want to run is osx and you only have a Windows computer

First I do hope the FCC investigates this. Apple doesn't care what network you use. However the Developer Agreement states that VOIP can not be used on the Cellular network because the Cellular Carriers make Apple enforce it. For example T-Mobile in Germany is banning the use of Skype on the iPhone even over WiFi:

So you must understand that there are some things Apple must do to keep AT&T and the other Carriers happy.

As for OS X on a PC, you know (and I have posted this 1,000 times) that Installing OS X on a PC is expressly forbidden by the OS X Licensing Agreement. Something that psystar will find out in November when the case goes to trial.

It might have been better to let a sleeping dog lye.
The fact still remains that for the amount of $1000.00, there isn't very much available when it comes to an Apple Computer.
For that price however, you can purchase a very good PC.
Sorry Mac but fact are facts. Apples are expensive.  Oranges (PC's) are much cheaper.

There are thousands of configurations and format features that these services does not have. For this kind of users, no, MS Office is still the best office suite round. But, my luck is to have MS Office paid by my company
