Win8.1, IE11 2.12 seconds with sound.

Opera 12.16   23.57 seconds no sound.

Chrome31 ,   33.99 seconds stuttering graphics and sound ......... turn off avast and it flies through perfectly !

Avast is still messing up Chrome browser.
I ran this test twice in Chrome (Version 31.0.1650.63 m).
Test one with avast! Online Security disabled: 57.32 sec
Test two: With avast! Online Security enabled: 57.30 sec.
Statistically, there is no difference in performance either way. ???

Well this seems more of a promotion for IE11 and windows 8.1, but the benchmark for firefox 26.0 was 10.59 sec. And the music drives you bonkers.
I couldn't run the test in IE at all. The button to click for starting the test was non responsive and never did anything. ???
In Firefox, I got a message that this browser wasn't compatible and I should install IE 11.
In Opera, the sound didn't work.
I have to agree with David, another MS promotion which in my case backfired.... ;D ;D ;D
Same exact thing here.  "Tis OK, as not something I need or am going to miss.  Means avast! protection is working here, anyway.  What the cause is, don't care to troubleshoot.    :)

Thanks Bob for the link!

I did some research on AOMEI Backupper and decided to give it a go.
It appears to make a backup quite a bit faster than Windows. I just hope I don't need to use
the restore function for a very long, long time.

I tried EaseUS, Paragon and Macrium. Didn't like any of them.
I do like AOMEI Backupper.  8)

The true test of any Backup Program is in it's ability to restore what it backed up.
Till you've used it to do the restore function, you can't really rate the product. :)

I would like AOMEI if I could get it's boot disks to work right. The WinPE disk will not boot at all and the Linux one will not recognize my external drive if it is plugged into a 3.0 port. The PE problem may be due to the brand of disc I burned it on. I'm going to try another brand and see what happens. I do like the program otherwise but I'm not sure it's really better than EaseUS for my needs.

@DCH48.
How exactly did you create the bootable rescue CD.?
did you use the windows function or a 3rd party app.

windows sometimes uses the term "burn" when in fact all it does is copy the files to a disk.

The first time, I had AOMEI make the iso and then burned it to a CD using ImgBurn. The second time I had AOMEI create the disc. Neither one works.

Used it for some time and abandoned it, whilst it reduces the brightness I also found that the contrast was also effected and for me it made it harder on the eyes.

I had Kingsoft on my Android tablet and it's okay. I switched to Google's Quick Office though and like it better.
