I'm sure that Malwarebytes will have most, if not all, issues fixed in their final OEM release.  Why it's called Release Candidate 1.  All issues noted in release notes are present, but core functions work just fine in the free version.

Unfortunately there are still issues in what was the final release of 2.0.2, so I shan't hold my breath on this one on release.

Honeyview is a very fast image viewer supporting various formats.
It also supports viewing the images in compressed ZIP, RAR, or 7z files without extraction.
If an image has GPS information, the location can be viewed on Google Maps, and users can store preferred photos.
(Their compression program Bandizip isn't bad either.)

A rule every computer user needs to learn:

When all else fails, reboot. It might just fix your problem.

That also goes for your router when you're having internet problems!

If that doesn't cure what ails you, come back here and ask for specific help.
Don't forget to give us as much information as possible. It's your computer
and we aren't mind readers. :)

Ubuntu 15.04 Is Called Vivid Vervet

http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2014/10/ubuntu-15-04-named-vivid-vervet

Quote
This is a time when every electronic thing can be an Internet thing, and that’s a chance for us to bring our platform, with its security and its long term support, to a vast and important field. In a world where almost any device can be smart, and also subverted, our shared efforts to make trusted and trustworthy systems might find fertile ground.

Talking of plans for the release Shuttleworth states one goal is to “show the way past a simple Internet of things, to a world of Internet things-you-can-trust.”

Ubuntu 15.04 is due for release in April 2015.

Windows 10 for free!

I'll believe it when it happens.

http://news.filehippo.com/2014/10/windows-10-will-free-personal-users%E2%80%8F/

There are lots of media articles that are thinking that those who paid for win8 could well get win10 as a free upgrade. I guess we will have to wait and see.

There is also a rumor that if you get a version of Windows 10 where Bing is your search provider, it will be free.
The rumor mill is open. The speculations are flying and, on the day the product is released, we'll actually know who has been
giving us the correct information.

That's a good one. Win10 if you use Bing as your search engine for free.
I use Firefox and use Google as my search engine. I guess I lose.

I have even seen rumors that Windows 10 will be free, or offered at a very reduced price, to users of XP, Vista, and 7. We'll just have to wait and see.
