Microsoft Decided to Kill Internet Explorer Due to the Huge Number of Bugs

  http://news.softpedia.com/news/Microsoft-Decided-to-Kill-Internet-Explorer-Due-to-the-Huge-Number-of-Bugs-474407.shtml

For me the biggest problem with IE was its integration into the OS where it did many other display tasks - so exploit the browser and you are almost exploiting the OS. Not to mention activeX.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.2.6105 (build 24.2.8918.824) UI 1.0.799/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

I agree.I feel uncomfortable when using IE which is rare although IE11 is not bad.

Have a license, if so MS will let you download a full version of Windows 7 as an ISO file
on  a computer,   USB device    or an External Drive:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery
But also Win 8.1 media: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media

This is a little misleading since both IE and Spartan will be included in the Windows 10 release. Spartan will gradually become the only option but it will take a while.

Quote
Internet Explorer's engine will continue to be available at first because of the compatibility issues, as there are plenty of websites and company apps that are built around Microsoft's tech, but there will be a moment when Spartan will become the one and only browser option for all users.

It could be years before that happens. IE is not being killed, it is being phased out.

http://www.shouldiremoveit.com/oems-bloatware.aspx
(One of the recommendations from my "So You've Got a New Computer. Now What?" Presentation)

My first laptop was ASUS and I didn't like that much. ASUS LiveUpdate did something wrong with it and their programs ain't that good. So I did a major laptop hunting. So my 2nd laptop which I am currently using as you can see it in my signature is an HP. HP makes good  laptops and it's a well known popular brand and even my desktop computer is HP.

Talking about bloatware and yes every laptop brand has bloatware in it, but my biggest annoying bloatware is that they install those games in it i.e.  in Toshiba they have WildTangent Games even Dell, HP they have HP Games. Other than that HP Update, HP Support Assitant and etc I consider them not to be bloatware because they provide security updates, patches, and other important services for your product.

By the way, thanks for sharing this bob3160  :)

Winpatrol Plus, etc special 50% discount.
Here are the details I just received from Bret:
"Hi Bob,
We now have an official shopping cart that supports coupons on all sales.
I’ve created you a new coupon. “bobsfriends” (no quotes). This coupon will get the bearer 50% off their entire cart.
Thanks,
Bret Lowry
WinPatrol"

(I've offered a discount to those attending the Avast Sponsored Security Presentations on the paid versions of Avast and, Winpatrol also
offered a discount on their paid product.) I can now share the Winpatrol discount with all my friends. :)
(So there is no misunderstanding, I don't earn anything from this post or any of the products mentioned here.)
If you intend to use the coupon, please order directly from the Winpatrol website
