Free or not, I've always been happy with the simplicity of the Windows Firewall and have never needed
something else to make something that's simple and works, more complicated. Just my 2 cents. :)

It is a good tool.
I've used it for years and have enjoyed the ability to keep closer control/knowledge of programs operating under Windows FW :)

No, I don't like Chrome. That said, if you take your browser personally you might try Vivaldi.
I have made my V just that, mine. I couldn't do that with Chrome.
