RollBack Rx

A video to show off how it works https://youtu.be/Oogz7ArMw70
Download from here https://horizondatasys.com/download/#rollbackhome

Just fyi (From personal experience)

If not already known, Rollback will not work if you have a 3rd Party HD encryption service enabled or Windows Bitlocker enabled.
Windows only allows for one encryption service running at any given time.
If you want to use Rollback you'll have to "disable" any other HD encryption service. :)

Edit: An Error message will appear on Reboot after installation that comments on software confliction ( other encryption program running).

"Open protect system failed."
Error: Server execution failed.(0x80080005)

RollBack Rx

Today, I put this software to the test.
Early this morning Rollback RX created it's snapshot. (Only takes seconds)
About 1 hr. later, I decided to uninstall Avast Free and install Avast OMNI beta.
After finding out that my router still isn't compatible with OMNI, it was time to go back to the Free version of Avast.
Rather than doing a full removal of Omni and then an install of Avast Free, I decided to use RollBack RX.

After selecting the RoolBack, the system rebooted

The time frame for this rollack was amazingly short.
(I was used to the long time it takes for a System Restore Point)
After the restart I was greeted with the following,

This would come in handy if there were some important file changes you needed to recapture.
Since I had no files or document that needed recovering, I selected the Cancel option.
My system had been totally restored without any problems. Back to where it was this morning.

This program certainly has my endorsement.

Don't see anything about pricing for individuals, it would seem they are after companies, educational and OEMs.

The RollBack RX Home, is Free, but seems to have a limit of 7 Snapshots, what happens after that isn't mentioned.  There doesn't appear to be a single license payment option for unlimited snapshots for RollBack RX Home.

It doesn't say specifically what windows OSes it supports.

Snapshot #8 wipes out snapshot #1 so you always have a max of 7 snapshots on hand.
For me, this certainly was a time saver for switching back to the free version of Avast. :)

Thanks for that clarification.

That's very good, so truly free with a 7 snapshot (backup/rollback) history.

EDIT:  I installed RollBack Rx Home Edition on my win10 system today and It takes a snapshot right away.

The interesting bit was I later did a windows update check (still waiting on 19030 and I think that this was it) a notice of a failed cumulative update was there another manual check found a KB awaiting download.  Did the KB update and restated when it called for it.

This is when I found a somewhat strange instance during the restart (and before the KB update did its configuration thing, RollBackRX effectively interrupted this by popping up a small window.  This was a DOS style window given the time it occurred (pre-boot), which freaked me out a bit.

I used the down key to scroll down to exit and hit return to close the window and thankfully windows update continued with the configuration and appeared to finish successfully.

Have you experienced this (?) and if not you have been pre-warned :)

A Correction
Once you've created 7 snapshots, you need to remove selected older snapshots in order to create new snapshots.

Thanks for the correction, still fairly simple though.

I'm noticing that every time I bring my laptop out of sleep the RollBackRX is there full screen.  I think any key removes that other than the Home key, which brings up the RollBackRX menu then you need to use the Exit key.

Are you experiencing that ?

I don't leave my laptop on charge all of the time, so when not in use it is closed and goes into sleep mode until opened.
