Most Fuel-Efficient Cars for 2006

Interesting and coincidental as I recently watched a program (and read an article), which did some real road tests and none of the Hybrid vehicles came close to the official figures. I think the Toyota Prius came out best overall. With many of the other hybrid vehicles even being run a close or beaten by some of the smaller petrol and diesel vehicles.

The end result was that when the additional purchase price and the actual real life MPG you needed to be doing about 20,000 miles per year to make it worth while. So it isn't as cut and dried as the official MPG figures make out.

LOW Gas Prices & where to find them!  Not a joke
You just type in your zip code & it tells you which gas stations have the cheapest prices (and the highest) on gas.

Click on the gas station's name and the map zooms in to that specific location.
You might want to pass this along to others.  It's updated every evening (mostly).

Microsoft Pushes Its Own Alternative to JPEG
============================
Microsoft introduced on May 24 at the Windows Hardware Engineering Conference (WinHEC)
here its proposed image-compression file-format specification, which it is calling "Windows Media Photo."
Windows Media Photo will allow users to correct, render and print photos in half the size a comparable JPEG requires.

A virus that encrypts your files and refuses to give you access to them
unless you pay a ransom has been cracked.

The password for unlocking your files is now widely available: This
virus swaps files found in the "My Documents" folder on Windows with a
single file protected by a 30-digit password. Victims are only told the
password if they buy drugs from one of three online pharmacies. The 30-
digit password locking the files is
"mf2lro8sw03ufvnsq034jfowr18f3cszc20vmw"
(without the quotes)
Using the password should restore all the hijacked files.

XPize  is a resources transformation pack for Windows. It replaces most of the non-XP icons,
avis and bmps that Microsoft has always overlooked. The installer simply automates the process
of replacing resources in critical system files, making your XP's look better.
XPize is compatible with Windows XP, 2003 and MCE Editions. XPize also comes with an Updater, which you can use after visiting Windows Update

It pays to be informed, but when there’s so much to be informed about,
it’s very easy to just throw up your hands and unplug yourself from the never-ending stream of content.
It doesn’t even matter if you’ve subscribed to your favorite content via RSS, because content is content,
and even if the delivery is automated, you still have to read it, and getting to everything would be a full-time
job in and of itself. Nevertheless, if you want to keep up with a variety of news/content sources on the Internet,
then look to popurls.com
