If you had gone here yesterday, you would have known about it.

Obviously, I didn't check it either.  :'(

Help for bored computers

Do you ever worry that your computer might get bored when you're not using it?

Fortunately, Folding@Home has plenty of work for your computer. Just download some software, and your processor is kept busy when you're not using it.

What is Folding@Home? It's a project run by Stanford University. The goal is to understand better diseases such as cancer and Alzheimer's. You can read up on the specifics on the Folding@Home site.

I urge you to help the project by joining the project. Anyone who has been touched by these devastating diseases will understand the importance of the project's goals. And it takes so very little effort to help.

Should you 'Upgrade from Vista to XP SP3'.
More details available at:
http://go.infopackets.com/e20080102-14

You can download the latest version of Windows XP3 from Microsoft:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/a/e/4/ae43e777-d69b-4b96-b554-d1a2a0f40fac/windowsxp-kb936929-sp3-x86-enu.exe

I've also added the latest Beta to MySharedFiles. Look for:
windowsxp-kb936929-sp3-x86-enu.exe

Enable 3D Desktop in Windows XP, 95, 98, Me and 2000 with Madotate
Does it work on Vista? I don't seem to have the 3D effects available in my laptop... maybe a hardware miss.

If you like the graphics on Vista, this program is designed to make them available
to you using the older Windows operating systems.

I haven't tried installing it on Vista but it's worth a try since I have a system that also doesn't meet the graphics
requirements.  Will let you know what happens.  ;D

I've installed Madotate on Vista which has  a graphics card that's not up to Vista Ultimate's requirements.

You be the judge  ;D

Well, it works for me... but I thought it will do more on transparency or desktop effects... anyway, I'll keep it. It won't harm.
