The Town indicated surely is the location of the ISP server and not the user.
The system information is the only thing directly related to the user.

I did one of these when I was on dialup. The results where what I expected, the nearest town. On hi speed, the location now indicated, is 300-400 hundred miles away, in a rather remote area. Just interesting.

Apparently something happens to the definitions in Windows Defender that stops updating from working.

The following command line procedure corrects it.

   1. Type Windows-R (Hold the Windows or start key and type an R) to bring up the run dialog box.
   2. Type in cmd.exe and the press ctrl-alt-enter to run it as Administrator.
It may ask for escalation privileges so type in your password and press enter if it does.
   3. Use the cd command to change to the Windows Defender directory:
      cd “\Program Files\Windows Defender”
   4. Run the following commands:
      mpcmdrun -RemoveDefinitions -All
      mpcmdrun -SignatureUpdate

Thanks to Tim Malloroy for this excellent tip.

Then at the moment, you don't need this information. If the problem should ever happen,
remember where to find the fix.  ;D

Firefox 3 Beta 4: Five times faster than IE 7
It's a pity that a lot of extension aren't prepared for v.3 yet...
(Hint: I've read Polonus's thread about disabling the verification, but even disabled, some extension simple do not work on v.3).
It's great to see browsing speed is improved in Firefox.
The best things in life are free.

That's the main reason I'm not using the latest version.
version 2.0.0.12 may not be as fast and it may be a memory hog but, the security blanket extensions work.  :)
