Firefox updates itself automatically, so how can 17% of its users not be on the latest release? ???

FF3 may update automatically but no other version of Firefox that I've used does. 1.5 and 2.X require the user to initiate the installation even if download is automatic and prior versions have no inbuilt updater so they'll never go out of date, will they? ;D  ;D

It won't update automatically if it's on a user account and the administrator doesn't update it.

Firefox, at least since 1.5 (if not earlier) has always reminded me that there is an updated version to be installed with a link to perform the install. However, since 1.5 (if not earlier) there are user options in the interface to select or decline such update notifications.

I have had 360desktop for about 2 weeks now and was testing it. So far, it works like a charm on my computer.

--> From WIRED magazine: The Petabyte Age

Reading this, it feels that this is a new look on how the common people gain and analyze data/knowledge. Very interesting and informative read.

As our collection of facts and figures grows, so will the opportunity to find answers to fundamental questions. Because in the era of big data, more isn't just more. More is different.

I would rather endure a root canal operation or install Norton ( Symantec ) than install that POS.

Apple Sells 1 Million iPhone 3G units in first weekend

And still selling!:
Quote
Although the new handset went on sale at 8:00 a.m. Friday morning, Apple retail stores around the country were still battling long lines -- sometimes hundreds of customers deep -- in the late evening hours on Saturday and Sunday morning. There was still a line some 60 customers long at Apple's flagship shop on Fifth Ave in Manhattan early Monday morning.

No Psystar is selling modified copies of Mac OS X, they are violating the license agreement every time they sell a machine. This was coming, it was just a matter of time. Apple killed their license program back in the 90s

And this goes way beyond just breaking the EULA, this is from bob's article:
Quote
A note to those who think that this suit is about EULAs … Psystar did a LOT more than breach the terms of the EULA. The company, through its own admission, modified the copyrighted work, then distributed those modifications without license and for commercial purposes. The company also used at least one Apple trademark in its marketing.
If this was just about the EULA, Apple’s case might not be that strong (remember, the EULA’s never been tested in court), but this goes way beyond the EULA.]

So psystar will most likely be out of business by the time apple's legal team gets finished wit them and everyone who bought one of their clones will be out of luck as far as support goes.

By the way Apple has sued clone makers before. One of their cases helped establish copyrights for computer software:

Apple even sued eMachines for copying the design of the original iMac
